Console users need more Content.

I have nothing but love for the awesome patches Bethesda has been putting out and I appreciate it, I really do. A warning, not (really) for PC users.

That being said, as a console user, I'm going insane. It started when I discovered the skyrim nexus(the voices came before, but no time for an origins story) a neat website were the glorious PC master race used their power to forge new and exciting experiences.

Meanwhile the proud but disenfranchised console folk, like myself sat and waited and received in time.(god bless every soul on the ps3, I would not have made it)

But we have had three content packs. 56% of the community is without any kind of frequent content to spice things up.(PC users imagine skyrim with no mods, no creation kit. Try not to wither and die in the process)

Meanwhile I torture myself by watching enviously through holes in the walls of Eden as really incredible things are happening on the pc.( I acknowledge that mods are free and content is not, I have money to spend and I support Bethesda no one will force you to buy this.)

I wont say its not fair, if you want that(PC goodness), go get. But not all of us have the time or the money, hell my PC barely runs Minecraft with a fancy texture on. I rely on my PC to do internet stuff and my gaming console to handle gaming stuff.

I will say that the consoles need content. I want to say exclusive, because what PC user would pay for armor, weapons or spells, when they could just mod them for free? But I am all about inclusion.

My suggestion is that content be released but marketed towards consoles, because we love skyrim too and watching a master race bend the exact same world to its will, while we sit with an occasional patch is maddening.

Fellow console users, Thoughts? (PC users welcome)

tl;dr? Console users make up half of the community (poll) but we get less content (compared to PC mods) is it really too much to ask for smaller content packs?(I understand the Micro/Sony system of patch blocking) people rag on horse armor but its not like you had to buy it and at least it was something to change things up.

I love how you made a summary in case people skimmed, lol. Thats good prep right there. Anyway, I wish they'd just offer more dlc. I'm not going crazy, as what is there is enough for me, but more content is NEVER a bad thing. I'd easily pay three times what Skyrim is worth for the equivalent of whatever that is worth in dlc.

1. Any content released for consoles should also be released for PC. The idea of 'exclusivity' is, IMO, ridiculous.
2. There's this little thing called roleplay. It's certainly not for everybody, but I'd highly recommend you give it a try. It can add thousands of hours to the game's lifespan, and makes the game feel totally different from each characters perspective.
3. That said, more content is always welcome. I love me some Skyrim DLC :D

Aye. I made the mistake early yesterday of watching some mod reviews from this guy on youtube. He showcases quite a few lovely immersion and rp friendly mods that I would so love to have - even if I had to buy them.

I used to play Morrowind on PC years ago and had loads of mods so I know how nice it can be and how drastically it can change / refresh the game. Eventually when I get a new PC in the years to come even when playing TES6 on PS4, I'll buy both it and Skyrim later on PC just for mods.

So yeah, more content would be great. I'd love if it Beth released content for different audiences. Say one that added to the weapons and armour in the game, allows more crafting and so on. Another that adds mage centric stuff. Another that adds in RP friendly things like backpacks, being able to do animations like sitting anywhere, carryable camp equipment for setting up a tent out in the wild, etc. Another that adds in a few followers for those who use them and want more interesting ones.

Come on Beth, my money is waiting for these things! :)

Everybody should receive the exact same content. Exclusivity is bad.

I'll say what I always say: I don't want micro DLC. I understand that people want more armors, weapons, houses and stuff - but I believe they should be included in a large DLC, not in multiple small packages. More content is always welcome, but I prefer fleshed out expansions that all types of characters can enjoy.

I feel the same way, I'm ready for what ever they have planned. skyrim is really high on my list of just great games.

1. I agree system exclusiveness is a blight, I just wanted to acknowledge that having smaller content packs on the pc is like selling lemonade at the free sample factory(think hearth-fire compared to the house building mod)

2. I do to an extent but the length of the game is not the problem or even its content size I just want more. Greed made manifest?, maybe.

Exactly, I think they learned from the horse armor thing(I don't get the big deal personally, but it was kinda ridicules) they have a dedicated community that is waiting eagerly for the next adventure little things in between the main courses couldn't hurt.

Agreed and I said in my OP the I am all about inclusion. I cant argue with your logic but like a said to earyi, tidbits now and then couldn't hurt and could only draw more attention back to skyrim.

As a pc player since before many of the forumites here were born, I will point out that Skyrim is the only game I've ever modded, and that only occured due to the ease of Steam Workshop. Previously, I had never felt disenfranchised or lacking....In fact, with FO3, I had a 1600 hours plus character (more hours than any of my Skyrim characters), and that was wholly unmodded.

You want console only content, go play games that are released only on console...there's plenty of them.

I can see this thread having a short life, somehow.
