I figured I'd post some suggestions that I'd like to see in Hearthfire.

• Ability to buy iron ingots from Stewards. I find it stupid that you can buy wood, clay and stone from him, yet one of the most used tools in constructing cannot be purchased from them.
  
• Guards for your home. Pretty straight forward, hire guards to defend your home
  
• Ability to change a room, for example if I no longer want an enchanting tower, I want to replace it with a bedroom.
  
• Allow followers to use the home as base (kinda like the Lucky 38 in Fallout New Vegas) this would be awesome.
  
• When your house is fully complete, I'd like to be able to turn it into a castle or fort of some kind.
  
• Ability to breed animals for things like leather etc.
