I want to make a Pure Mage, but can't really find anything useful (far as YouTube goes) to build one. 1. How hard are they to make? 2. What's the best Race? 3. What skills should be worked on first? 4. What level usually does the character become "set"? (Able to fend for himself easily). Cause I find using Robes in the beginning is such a disadvantage, but I don't want to use Light/Heavy armor. Any tips?

Robes are fine for a mage as long as you use alteration skills like Oakfelsh, Ebony flesh etc . These more than make up for the lack of physical armour that your mage has.

Alteration is almost a must for mages.

As for race, most people pick Altmer or a Breton. You could pick any other race of course.
