Miraakdragon soul glitch

So I hear that Miraak still constantly steal souls from you. How long does he do that for? Someone tried 16 times and each time, Miraak took the soul.

He should stop stealing souls from you when you complete the Dragonborn main quest.

But what if you have no souls going into Dragonborn? Aren't there shouts you have to unlock in the DB MQ?
