Why can't I get 1080 HD? : V

I read on the back of skyrim game box and see it can go up to 1080 HD, but I always get 720 HD. Did something happen that am not aware of? Btw am on ps3.

Yeah it does since my tv always has it on the setting every time I watch tv.

God I should slap myself in the head for that. Sorry, I wasn't thinking about it at the time.

Do you have an HDMI cable hooked up? Mine also always says 720P.
