I've got Vigilance with me, and we were fighting a bear. He got "bit" and had that "you've contracted a disease" spell effect. I was just wondering if he actually had the ill effects of whatever disease, or does the visual effect trigger just because?

If he is truly infected, how do I cure a dog?

I strongly doubt followers can get diseases.

We would have known by now.

Only followers who can contract diseases are followers that you marry and then give vampirism to.

Followers are not supposed to catch diseases according to all the literature.

Are you using a mod which allows you to do this?

Okay, thanks. It's the first time I never noticed the visual effect triggering on a follower, so I was curious.

I have UFO, but I'm not sure that changes how diseases work. That's the only follower mod I have.

Yes they can but no they can't if that makes sense.

I was playing my bosmer last night when she and her follower got attacked by a skeever. pesky thing kept attacking my follower from behind and I saw her glow green with the sickness effect.

But its the same as instructing your follower to use a shrine. they will but they don't get the effects.

So not a glitch.
