So what happened to Bruma?

Bruma, the City of Talos. Home of the Great Chapel of Talos. Bruma, whose patron saint is Talos.

What happened to it?

With the worship of Talos being banned by the Empire this city would have been left in a lurch of sorts. I'm wanting to Role-Play a character coming over to Skyrim from Bruma, but it got me wondering what actually happened to it. I've checked all the wiki references I could find and there is just no mention of Bruma after the Great War that I can find and was wondering if anyone knew.

Thanks.
