I worked Alchemy and Enchanting simultaneously on my first play through. In hindsight, that seemed like an inefficient use of perks and materials for relatively small gains. Now, with my second PC, I'm wondering if I shouldn't concentrate on just one (I'm focusing on Alchemy) to achieve the strongest, possible affect and then ramp up the other skill quickly without burning through as many raw materials. Anyone tried this approach of perfecting one skill and then ramping up the other? If so, in what order did you do it?
Also, I'm postponing smithing since it doesn't help with alchemy or enchanting but strongly benefits from both.
Thanks!
