If the Aldmeri Dominion fought...

...in order to get an independent Elven Empire and not to achieve the BS they try.
I'd be all in for it, two friendly empires, one for Men and one for Elves.
Amazing, don't you think ?

Peaceful co-existence in Tamriel is rarer than a dodo and oft fleeting.

Except that the elves are even more fractured than men. The Dunmer and Altmer beliefs are polar opposites, not to mention the orsimer.

Alinor wouldn't ally itself with the Orsimer anymore than they would the Dunmer, to be honest.

Alinor and Valenwood then, it still makes an Empire perhaps a small one.

That is probably what they will have to do ultimately. Going by the official story, wanting to rule all of tamriel is one thing, actually doing it is another and there's only so many bloody stalemates you can fight before people are like "ok, well, lets just work with what we've got and put that rule the world idea on hold".

Best thing about this is that they can deal with an elven empire in another game, while still letting us possibly see a stalemate battle in cyrodiil or something.

A Coup within the Thalmor is the best way to make the whole Dominion situation go away....

I'd rather completely independent nations, splitting up into duchies even! Although I've been playing the heck out of the CK2 mod, which has probably made me bias :P.

But seriously, imagine the next TES game set in high rock having a minor kingdom like Daggerfall as the main Breton power, Orsinium, and the rest being petty kingdoms, independent duchies and independent counties.
