But let me tell you why none of this is possible: Crysis 3 was a AAA game. Triple A games are (usually) played by a large number of players with different tastes. It's not logical for a development team to remove an entire aspect and playstyle from a game because a certain group of players doesn't like it. It's just not possible. You pay $60 for a game and you expect to be playing that game. Not a game that is fundamentally different because of a patch. Developers can't just remove auto armor or maneuverability. That would not only turn off a lot of players, but it would change the core gameplay of Crysis 3.
Crysis 3 has a smaller fanbase than was expected. And think how many fans run auto armor and a SCAR with a laser sight. A lot, right? Well, if you removed both of those, wouldn't you expect those players to, more likely than not, quit? A lot of them just don't want to learn how to play another style after running with their setup for so long. They might give up and move onto another game. If Crytek were to change the way their game is played at a core level, they'd lose a lot of the players that they're already desperate to keep.
Even though we all hate auto armor, scar + laser, the AR's close range damage multiplier, etc. we all know deep down that they'll never be changed. It's too risky as a developer to change your game this much. There's no way that they'd go so far as to make a game-changing patch after release. That was what the beta was for. Now, there's just no chance that we'll see massive changes in the way the perks and weapons work. Sure, we'll see balance changes, but nothing too significant. Because at the end of the day, thats how game development works.
