I'm starting a new game and I want to know which race I should use, no matter the archtype tell me:

Which Race

Which Archtype ( Mage, Thief ect.. )

Shouldn't you have an idea of what you want to be?

Try something you haven't before, a pure mage, Battlemage, thief, or something.

Have you tried a khajiit mage.

Play an Orc Mage. It's great.

Female Orc mage if you really want to break some boundries.

I started a new character last night. A Female Nord who uses a little bit of magic.

Currently level 11.

These are the skill trees I will be using:

Heavy Armor
One Handed
Block
Smithing
Restoration
Alteration
Enchanting

Enchanting and Smithing I'll delve into later when I'm around level 25.

Just pick a race that interests you. If you've never played before maybe start with something like a warrior. Most people on here have played multiple games, with multiple races and multiple classes. Just have fun and play the way you want to play.

No, no, no. Everyone always picks Khajiit! Enough Khajiit! Kill them off and bring back the Fox race. Try Dunmer or Orc.

What? I hardly see any Khajiit players. Anyways, on the Skyrim Blog, http://theskyrimblog.ning.com/group/character-building/page/category-80 have been voted the best builds. You can follow them or make them different, they're pretty good.
