When I fast travel, when resting, entering/exiting cells, and when entering the character menu (After a certain amount of time)?

Why is there no option to have the game just save automatically after like 5 mins? And while the quicksave feature is handy, I forget to use it. So I'd like a way to have the game save every 5 mins so I can minimize the impact of a CTD or any other issue beyond my control that I can not fix.

Any thoughts?
