Moar Questions

1. The quarters that you are shown to when first joining the mages' guild... are the containers safe?

2. I've put one arrow in each of the containers of that room. How many days must pass before I know that storage is safe?

And first mission of the Mages' Guild?
Spoiler
WTF Bethesda, it's totally unbelieveable; Level 1 novice mage, clear out this huge dungeon; Really? I'm losing my faith in you, the more I work this game. The draw of the game, is still greater than the mechanics, and that is why I am still playing... the mechanics however, are catching up. I love the game world, and will try really hard to make this work... but the attempt at choices in the game, apparently fell quite short. Don't give us the option for choices, if in fact, there is actually none. Makes you look bad. Speaking from a business owner's perspective. /end rant

The room that you are given contains four respawning (unsafe) food barrels. The two end tables next to the bed, both tall wardrobes, and the chest of drawers between the wardrobes are all non-respawning (safe) for your belongings.

The room is not safe, but certain containers in the room are safe. The dressers and wardrobes are always safe no matter where you find them. Barrels and sacks are not.

The respawning time for Skyrim is generally 10 days. Some locations and things have repawning time of 30 days. Some locations never respawn.

1- As said above me, those are safe.

2- Either 10-30 in game days.

It's called the College of Winterhold, to be specific. The Mages Guild has no relation to them.

1. All Dressers and End Tables are Safe Storage, Barrels are to be avoided.
2. I do not know if the Respawn on a container is 10 or 30 days
3. I agree with the difficuly of Sarthaal, and every Dungeon or Ruin involved in the COW Questline seems long and designed to punish a character for being a Mage.
I hate spelling things wrong :stare:

Not to mention you really don't learn much as a "student". Even a warrior can go through without using magic.

2) I think with some containers it's around 10 days but it really depends on where you are

The Quests are actually much easier for a Warrior or Thief, but the College is the only place in Vanilla to buy Expert and Master Spellbooks. Most of the Expert and Master Trainers in Mage Skills also require accessing the College.
I also admit to the COW being the only Questline that can be considered "Good" in Alignment and choices.
