I discovered TES through my friend, who had an XBOX when I did not. He got a couple of free games with his box, on of them called 'Oblivion.' We decided to try it out and we were AMAZED. Literally nothing matches this, except Halo 3, which was also discovered in the same way on the same day. I remember making my Dunmer battlemage, and I was off on an adventure.
