I'm on console and a dragon attacked (and killed) me while I was crouched over the body inspecting it.

I've actually found a few vamps in odd places this run-through. I've taken out a few bandit camps, and found the odd vamp or two while looting the dead. Also found a wiped out Stormie patrol, and one of the dead stormies gave me vamp dust, which made me thing he was a vamp.
