What race is closest to the "Anglo-Saxons" : V

The Anglo-Saxons were a Germanic tribe in Britain, I was wondering what skyrim race represents the Saxons the best. I was thinking Breton or Imperial but mainly Breton. Can anybody give some insight? I know Imperials are mainly based off the Romans but they eventually got tangled up with the Germanic people so it could be either or really, right?

Nords are Scandinavian.
Bretons are French.
Redguards are Africans/Arabs.

Angles and Saxons were Germanic people so they would probably be closest to the Nords, who basically represent Germanic people.

Bretons have more similarities to the Celts and Imperials closer to Southern Europeans in general.

Bretons are more French/Swiss and that sort of thing than Saxon.

For the most part, yes. But that's still a generalization. Nords are the closest thing to the "barbaric Germanic Tribes". Culturally and look-wise. The Bretons could pass as Anglo-Saxon as well.

Nords resemble Vikings and you will have your answer if you look up the lore on Vikings. Nords is the answer.

Nords since Nords are technically Germanic and the Saxons who came up to England were also Germanic.

Nords, The Anglo-Saxons were similar to vikings in many ways.

There were also some Viking kings who managed to rule over England for some time.
