Does this still work in patch 1.9?

I was hoping to make use of it. Not to go crazy with it, but I wanted to make an Unarmed fighter, but since you don't get much to go towards unarmed damage, I wanted to use the exploit just to give myself better than average enchants.

I have been looking around and can't seem to find a solid answer.

I tried it today actually for the first time. Yes, it still works fine
