So I figured, why not take a bit of a time and discuss the future of TES for fun while it is still alive?
On to the matter at hand...
There's been talk of this mysterious Dro'jizad prophecy. It's listed on in-game books as having the same importance as prophecies such as the Nerevarine's !
Now now, hear me out.
Well, as we know, the Khajiit are one of the towers the Thalmor must eventually destroy in order to achieve their ultimate goal. The Khajiit of Elsweyr are currently allied with the Thalmor out of deception and ignorance.
Maybe when the day that the Thalmor betray them finally comes, the Dro'jizad prophecy will come into place, and it could lead to a hero saving the cat people of Elsweyr, and perhaps even ending the Thalmor threat once and for all. It is a very nice set up for a unique game in a exquisite province, which would obviously feature the Thalmor as the main antagonists. We've been to men's provinces, mer's provinces, now all that's left is a game in a beast province. It makes sense. Perhaps they could even fit Valenwood or Alinor in as well in the same game, since Elsweyr is relatively small, and all three are part of the Aldmeri Dominion.
But Guard, how can a non-Khajiit hero fit the bill for a Khajiit prophecy?
Well, you shouldn't even have to ask that.
See, for example, Indoril Nerevar was originally a Dunmer, but that didn't stop the Nerevarine from being any other race.
The Dovahkiin is traditionally a Nord Hero, but that didn't stop him from being any other race as well.
The Dro'jizad prophecy could mean a lot of things. I vaguely remember a quote from a Morrowind NPC , "prophecies are what may be, not what will be"
So , what do you think? Have any other theories?
I, personally, would love a game set in Elsweyr. It has the potential to have that same unique cultural feel as Morrowind.
