What determines ammo priority/default ammo type?

Post » Sun Apr 04, 2010 9:16 pm

I'm tired of running out of ammo in the middle of a fight because the damn stupid game switched my shotgun from MAG rounds (of which I have hundreds) to regular rounds (of which I only have five that I looted from a corpse).

I need to figure out a way to prevent that from happening.

Alternatively, if no-one knows, is there an ammo bag I can carry in my inventory that I can place the looted ammo in so that the game isn't aware I have them?

Index in the ammo formlist. First one, index 0, is the "default" ammo.

Okay, I just reversed the 20 Gauge and 9mm lists since those bug me the most. Thank you for the info.

Hopefully this will fix my current problem, and hopefully someone will create an NVSE mod to re-order ammo formlists on the fly.

Ran into this with ammo mod... I added the new ammo to formlists by script for compat, but addformtoformlist adds them to the top of the list. Need NVSE formlist functions...
