Hey I was just wondering if anyone new how to get rid of the strange amulet. I know you guys will probably tell me that it weighs nothing and it doesn't matter. But I'm kind of ocd about this stuff and I missed my chance to put it on the dead body when I was doing the quest. Any help would be nice.

You should have sold it to Calixto during Blood on the Ice. It sounds like you've already finished the quest, so there's nothing you can do now. If you're on PC, you can use a console command to remove it: player.removeitem 000D2328 1

You got the strange amulet doing the Blood On The Ice quest in Windhelm. You found it in Hjerim. If you have already finished that quest, I do not believe there is any way you can have it turned into the necromancer's amulet.
