#1 Always equip Auto Armor (no matter what!)
#2 Grab a pole, these kill in one hit and have no deterioration.
#3 Using a pole with Heavy Weapon pro is even better.
Now you're ready to hop into the Crysis 3 multiplayer.
It's not our "perception" that Auto Armor and Poles are over powered, they ARE over powered, otherwise you wouldn't have pages and pages of people saying it's over powered and the only people saying it isn't over powered are the ones using it.
I'm sorry I meant, "abusing" it.
Rebalance Auto Armor, no one will stop playing this game if you rebalance Auto Armor, hell no one would stop playing this game even if you removed the module entirely, which we know will not happen. People STOPPED playing this game because of Auto Armor, because of the Poles.
When I played C2 on PS3 there was this melee glitch where a player could just run up to you and kill you in a split second. The poles are the equivalent of this, and suprisingly just as annoying. One was a glitch that was never meant to be in the game and could be considered a hack (on consoles) which resulted in flame wars. Now you have the same thing with it intentionally being in the game and people still have flame wars.
CAN WE JUST GET BACK TO USING GUNS?
Right now Crysis 3 is a Troll fest, every load out is surrounded around an awful unbalance in the game. Look at the damn Rapid Fire module, come on guys can you really tell me that you all thought this wasn't going to be a problem from the beginning??????????? Everyone who gets high scores either OHK's, Poles with HWP/Manu/AA, or Scar Laser Tapping with rapid fire.
Crysis has the potential to be a competitive shooter but it all goes away as soon as some troll picks up a pole and uses it game after game after game. Why is this not fun? Because the pole is over powered! Just the same as Auto Armor. You guys knew this too because I remember Mike Read in an interview stating that this game isn't going to go into the serious MLG competitive scene, which is where EVERYONE wanted it to go. Because MLG shooters are filled with military boring camp, peek and shoot shooters. Crysis had the potential to turn that world upside down. I thought at the time maybe it isn't going that competitive route because of performance on the old dinosaur consoles, and maybe it was because of the lack of a theatre mode. But it really has to do with this **** balancing.
By the way since the design of Auto Armor was made to help bring along newer players and halt them from getting stomped by veteran players. Well now you have the "veteran" players using Auto Armor and obliterating the newer players. Now can we have that level 50 Auto Armor Cap? Or is that just my perception too?
We're 2 months past release and the pole is still the most powerful weapon in the entire game. Ridiculous. From a Sci-Fi perspective, Maximum Armor should protect you from a old rusty pole or a wooden tree brace.
As I said in another thread, I don't know why the team commentator doesn't sound a blowhorn when the other team has a Pole because it's the equivalent of playing Call of Duty when the enemy has a AC130 drone in the air.
I suppose that was just my perception again telling me that Crysis could've been a competative shooter that exceeds the player count of Halo. There is no reason why a game on 1 platform has more players than a multiplatform title. There is currently less than 300 people playing this game on PC in the ENTIRE WORLD.
It's so sad.
I still have it in the back of my mind that Crytek will pull an Ace out of their hat. I suggested you guys release 3 free maps, hell reskin the maps from the C2 map packs that most of us bought and never got to play. Those can still be considered new maps. Even at that I don't think it's enough to bring people back anymore. As I said, I believe the game needs a fundamental change for anything significant to happen.
