1) when it changes to snow storms, the screen goes all blurry for a short while (everything, including the character in 3rd person mode). Since I haven't played for a month or so, or without anisotropic settings (usually set to 2) before, and I'm using other lower settings than normal, is this entirely normal?
2) When I leave the area of the snow storms and descend to Helgen, the weather clears up. However, for a minute or so (possibly less) while it's clear, it seems the fog patches from the snow storm are following me around. Is this right also?
Not using any texture or environment mods whatsoever, just a few small modules from Skyrim Redone (not even the core module, changes too much at the moment), Tales of Lycanthropy, the Unofficial Patches (Skyrim, Dawnguard and Hearthfire), a Chainmail Armour mod, Alternate Start, Deadly Dragons, Skyrim UI, Race Menu, Skyrim Speeds and When Vampires Attack. Latest patch, and latest SKSE, plus all mods up to date. Load order sorted by BOSS, installed using NMM, no conflicts reported.
As I said, I'm using lower settings than before, so it might be I'm just not used to it. I don't want to risk it though, so that's why I ask. Thanks.
