Well it depends on the size.

PC-ers, for any graphics-enhancing mods, how large are the downloads? Use that as a benchmark.

Well the issue here is not the size of the download but making the game run smoothly with the graphics update. I've seen graphic updates anywhere from 50-120mb

I wish it returned to the way it was before Beth started patching. After they started the patches the draw distance was changed and there was a change in the textures as well. Not saying that it was a major change ( well the draw distance was ) but it was enough of a change to be visible if you knew what your looking for.

Well Oblivion got the update to high graphics after long. But yeah I agree the graphics used to be way worse.

Worse? I meant that some of the textures where better before they started patching, moss on rock walls actually looked like moss not pixelated green mush. The draw distance was further as well before they started patching

Well all of that had some things to do with dowloading the game to your console's HD. And not havng some of the DLC installed. But if you're right then we need an update Bethesda.

Nope not the case, I've been playing since day one of release and I can say with certainty that there was a change in some textures and the draw distance after the first couple patches.

I've heard similar things about people have their graphics degrade. What console and do you clear the cache?

Xbox, it has nothing to do with my console. There was a slight " down grade " of some textures and the draw distance after patch 1.2 or 1.3, I'm not the only Xbox player on the boards that has taken notice to this either. There where several threads stated about it once the patches where released, if you compare a non-patched Skyrim to a patched Skyrim you can really see the difference. It was shortly after Beth fixed the backwards flying dragon bug.
