It has been ages since I was on this forum last time. Not since the early Skyrim days, and yes I have played Skyrim to death but I really struggle with a ton of descisions Bethesda made for the tittle. So a week ago I sat down and got the dust of mye old copy of New Vegas and all the dlc's I downloaded ages ago. And once again I fell in love with the game like i did back when it was realeased. All the choices, all the factions, and the effort Obsidian really put into the characters in the game world still amazes me. I feel so much more like a part of the world than in Skyrim where everything feels cheap and without effort almost, that is the characters and the more social parts of the game, the world itself was amazing. I shot att a memorial stone in Boulder city yesterday and suddenly the soldier standing in front of it got pissed att me for doing so, saying his brother died defending the city against the Legion. And I have never in my countless hours in new vegas encountered this dialogue and It was awesome that this game still can suprise me. I have created a native american for this playthrough and I have so much fun re-experiencing this game. I love how in this game I really have to think stuff through, if I do this what will happen with other factions and quests and so on, I love it. Can't wait to start on the dlc's again, revisit Sierra Madre, get my goldbars out of there and so on, hehe, and the journey through the divide facing Ulysses. I see so clearly now what I missed in Skyrim, Obsidian did a flawless jobb with New Vegas, they really let the players actions have an impact on the world, providing a far superior rpg experience over Skyrim and Fallout 3. Its sad Obsidian can't have more controll over what happens to the fallout series, I would love to have them att the helmet and in controll of the franchise, not gonna happen but atleast I have new vegas. Ohh well, im off to sierra madre now, gonna play the life out of this game again
