Does the GECK work with New Vegas ?

Everything looks so similar that I was wondering if the GECK works with it. I don't have the game yet and have no plans to buy it until its patched and easily modable.

Downside the scripting part is very annoying. Not sure if they fixed that yet. Spell checker is non existent, and scripts will simply not compile if something is wrong, no debug info whatsoever.
