Pubstacked teams may be decreasing player base.

I jumped into a game of TDM that 4 members of the D4rK clan were in.

Being considerably more experienced at this game than the rest of my teammates, I was able to hold my own somewhat decently. However, everyone except me was getting completely creamed, leaving the game.

I think pubstacking lobbies with too many good players is scaring people away from this game. Pretty soon, it's just going to be the "pros" playing, as everyone else goes back to call off duty and battlefield. Making the leader boards even more pointless, with only the top 200 really competing for anything.

I had to tell my friend to leave, since there was no way he would be able to help me take them on.

They fixed the squad system a little too well, there are some servers now that allow the autobalance to mix squads up. However unlike in C2 the squads are given priority over balance.

First the teams are autobalanced then people are moved around to put them in squads. What results is usually unbalanced teams. It would have been wiser to have half the servers with squads and half without. They also match people with the same clan tag together which I think wasn't wise.

EDIT: This is an example where listening to community vets caused a major derp up. So I respect crytek devs when they say no to the vets for some things.

I find nothing wrong with the squad system. I'm complaining about the "team strategies" being abused. When you have four good players (with auto armor and scar, or course) practically running in formation to the enemy spawn, that is where the problem lies.

Maybe my POV is skewed since I normally go lone-wolf, but it doesn't seem fair to the poor noobs spawning in.

It took about 10 minutes before good players were squading to start stomping.

Playing in a 6-8 man squad against pubs is awful, your constantly fighting over kills and eventually they all end up rage quitting anyway.

Pretty much. It's the quickest way to empty-out a server, and there are a couple of clans out there that are currently doing that.

They're typically full of people who care about KD ratio more than anything else, which is why you see some of them achieving 5-10 KD. Pubstacking all day :D
