"Idea" for new DLC.

Yeah. I don't think the community wants that.
I've seen more people reject the idea than those in favor.

Good, that way it can never, ever be implemented.

The PvP was the most annoying thing in Dark Souls for me. The fact that there was no option to opt out of it was really a deal breaker. Yeah, I get it, you wanted to make your game difficult and I appreciate that, but having anyone able to randomly join my game (I don't really want people to drop in on my games unannounced) and the fact that there isn't any kind of matchmaking, and I can't quit out or save is obnoxious. Yeah, standing around for 5 minutes waiting for some jerk in the best gear in the game to one shot my newbie character sure is fun *eye roll*

yea this. i wanted to play it as a single player game.. so everytime i played it i had to disconnect my xbox from live

If requests are so huge why don't they even reconsider of making upcoming serie with option to co-op? I think it would make community happy especially guys on consoles as maybe splitscreen/online option would bring something new for them.
Elder scrolls online. They say thats what people have requested for a long time.

Yeah I've seen this kind of responses to TES online when I mentioned "why not make TES online series" like 1 and half year ago. And then few months later they announced elder scrolls online. Maybe there won't be multiplayer option for now but sooner or later we will see one I'm quite sure of that.

Because the engine is built for single player. Co-op/multiplayer can't be added in a patch or dlc. It doesn't work.

Yeah true, but point is it's basically "their game-idea/lore" call it w/e you want .

If it doesn't work, why are there multiplayer mods around :bonk:

If they ever make co-op in a single player TES, I'd never use it. It's a personal one-on-one experience for me. If I wanna be dragged around for quests by other players...I'll buy TESO.

Bethesda's track record shows that single player is all they do. Besides most games that have a great multiplayer have a svcky campaign, I myself prefer to play single player so multiplayer doesn't appeal to me personally.

Make a poll and see how many want it or don't want it.

Finally the game isn't set up for co-op or multiplayer, its not linear enough to be plus things would clash. Say you are almost done with the Empire side of the civil war but your friend did the Stormcloak side the game wouldn't function because there's two different outcomes at the same time.

Pc is different from console.

Beth has no affiliation with TES Online. there parent company is the one that is doing the work.

Yes, TESO. Is NOT being made by Bethesda. It isn't using the same engine. http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2012/05/25/why-the-elder-scrolls-online-isn-39-t-using-heroengine.aspx

We started ZeniMax Online from scratch, with no employees and no technology. We had to build everything ourselves. It takes a long time to write game engines, especially MMO engines, which are inherently more complicated than typical single-player ones. So, we decided to license the HeroEngine to give us a headstart. It was a useful tool for us to use to prototype areas and game design concepts, and it provided us the ability to get art into the game that was visible, so we could work on the game’s art style. Our plan is for ESO to be a world class MMO, with the most advanced social features found in any MMO to date – so while we were prototyping the game on HeroEngine, we were simultaneously developing our own client, server, and messaging layer that were specifically designed with ESO in mind. Think of HeroEngine as a whiteboard for us – a great tool to get some ideas in the game and start looking at them while the production engine was in development.

I have only seen one in Whiterun. Of course, this was in the early days of Skyrim's release.

There's been a few for Morrowind.

It's not that we're against it, it's just TES has always been a single player game. Multiplayer/Co-op doesn't fit well with it.

And we have an MMO coming out for it as well, so the point ultimately becomes moot. All the multiplayer shenanigans you can stomach.

Nor has it ever been. Only reason why most reject the idea is because TES and other Beth games are solely single player and that's what people enjoy about it.

And if those multiplayer mods are so good, why isn't everyone who wants multiplayer/co-op using them?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=la3RqY38rAM&feature=related If this is an example, I don't think it is so great, really. How many of those mods are still being worked on?

There was a huge mod that added multiplayer ( well sort of) to Skyrim, i haven't heard about it since the first months of the release. back then it was pretty crappy. you couldn't interact with other players or see them clearly. as well as being glitchy as hell and disconnecting every once in a while. they were still working on it at the time though. so i dunno if it has improved by now.

Pretty much. There was some gripe about that already and its not released yet.

I'll be honest. While it's obvious I'm not playing it, I'm sure as hell I'll be glad if they introduce some sub-plot to assassinate Tiber Septim.

XD that is nothing new. In fact, the forum for The Elder Scrolls Online will turn into the forums for every other MMO...
...Complaints that the game svcks...
...Complaints about class balance...
...People saying how it should be like [insert MMO here]...
...People talking about how the game is losing subscribers...
...People demanding features that makes what we do here look subtle...
