Will you continue playing Skyrim and for how long?

Post » Tue Apr 23, 2013 4:52 pm

Greetings everyone,

We all know it by now, Bethesda will no longer make any new DLC for Skyrim. Most of you have finished Dragonborn some time ago and were waiting for a new DLC .

I am almost done with the Dawnguard DLC (only the Dawnguard side on my main character yet) , I didn't purchased Dragonborn yet.

Ive been playing Skyrim since the first week of February 2012. It is my first ES game. I fell in love with everything in the game: lore, world, characters, everything. Skyrim made me a huge ES fan, Im looking forward to the Elder Scrolls Online and when Im done with Skyrim Ill probably buy Oblivion.

I know I will CONTINUE to play Skyrim at least another year from now on. Why? Because I have:

1. My Nord Dovahkiin warrior (lvl 55) - finishing Dawnguard and moving on to Dragonborn
2. My Khajiit assassin/archer (lvl 43) - Just finished my first thieves guild mission and just joined the DB, I have a lot of work on him.
3. My female Orc Battlemage necromancer tier 1 vampire (lvl 16) - Want to join the Volkihar side and become a very powerful conjuration/destruction + 1h witch and vampire
4. I want to start a Breton pure mage that is an undercover Forsworn
5. I want to start a Redguard bandit/raider

So I have a lot of "work" ahead of me in Skyrim. I will continue playing it a long time from now on.

How about you guys? WIll you continue your adventure in Skyrim? And why?

If I can get around the lack of plug-in slots for mods, then until I run out of ideas for plot.

I will continue to play Skyrim until TESVI. I have at least nine months with existing characters, and I am still waiting for a few Mods to be released.
I will be taking a break for the next Fallout Game, and I may even try TESO.

I might play it every now and then but most likely not for long, it was a good game but not one I want to make another save that I play for up to 50-60 hours on, those hours are needed for Morrowind.

Until I am bored of it. Then I will take a break, play something else and eventually come back to it.

Did you know that there's lots of mods out there that are single weapons or bits of armor? Each sword or bit of armor is a socket used up!

What do you mean? A plugin slot is used when it is filled with either a esm or esp from one mod. The content of the mod plays no part in the limit.

yes and it easy to merge simple mods. Have done it even if far from limit as I made plenty items craftable and temperable.

Yes, and a lot of mods are single items, which is one esp plug-in. For example, I found a http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23078, it's a great looking shield, exactly what I want for my future Silver Dragon troops, but it came as an esp. And the http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/22849 was a separate esp! Get it now? There's two esp slots used up just with those two items!

Absolutely. As for how long ... Well, until there are no stories left for me to tell. So perhaps 20-ish years? ;)

Isn't there a way to merge esp files with Wrye Bash?

I'll be playing Skyrim for a few more weeks then move on to The Last of Us or possibly Dragon's Dogma's new dlc, Dark Arisen.

I still have $25 psn credits sitting on my account that I was planning on using for future Skyrim dlc.

Now I guess I'll be spending it on something else.

I guess Beth doesn't want my money...

Well that obviously depends on what mods you use. I would advise you to use a mod which has many weapons/armour in one.
