"you committed crime against skyrim and her people, blah blah"

why does he say " her "? is it another simple grammar rule I don't know or is it something special to skyrim?

Countries were often called "her" for some reason and in some places they still are.

Well, anything a man refers to something is "her" such as a car. The Blade's captain in Oblivion refers the stonework in Cloud Ruler Temple as "she".

Because it's your motherland.
