Who wants real dragons

Post » Wed Apr 24, 2013 4:15 pm

and not wyrms? They even refer to the 'dragons' and wyrms but don't remember if it's a book or a song. Who wants an actual huge, 4 legged, god of a beast?

These are dragons, as it pertains to The Elder Scrolls.

And if I wanted real dragons, it'd be Chinese or bust. ;)

As much as I would love a Shadow of the Colossus-like dragon battle, it wouldn't work with Skyrim's combat system. Want to know what it would probably end up like? Go punch Mirmulnir to death on legendary difficulty, and see how fun that turns out.

Neither do they make any sense, anatomically. They might as well have 6 appendages.

*imagines climbing around Mirmulnir's back mid-flight while trying to stab his wings*

Hmm.. I think it might work :P

I see what your saying but dragons don't actually make any sense in the first place regardless of appendage number.

Look it up. There's a difference between a dragon and a wyrm. Dragons, for one, walk on all 4.

That's European dragons. And even, restricted to only a portion of Europe. Not representative of all dragons.

Dragons with legs and wings are called Wyverns. Of course it's just a technicality, they're "dragons" too, but more enemy variation would always be welcomed.

Four legged dragons look bad.

Well, they could also be human-form, with arms, legs and wings. Like good old Bahamut: http://www.giantbomb.com/images/1300-1685691

... Since when have there been technical terms for dragons? I thought they were, y'know, mythical creatures that don't actually exist.
Unless you count the bearded dragons and such, but they're not quite the same ;)

I have it on my shelf, beside Wizardology, Mythology and Egyptology ;) I never took it for fact, though.

How blasphemous not taking a book based on myth as fact

Real Dragons? You're kidding...

Sounds like somebody has been cruising the internet, had an epiphany and started a thread about it.
