ok, i switched gaming platforms a few months ago from Xbox to ps3, and in a couple days ill be getting a copy of skyrim, sadly i haven't been keeping up too much with the patch information, but more importantly i wanted to try a role play out, so here goes...

Name: vodahmin zoor (forgotten legend)
race: imperial vampire)

combat specialty: whatever i feel like, ill become overpowered sooner or later in everything.
focused stats: one handed, heavy armor, archery, block, most likely some sneak with illusion
back story: a athazagorophobic (he doesn't like to be forgotten) soldier from hundreds of years ago, his birth name now lost to time, who was determined to carve out a name for himself in the ranks of the imperial legion. he fought hard and long but his officers and fellow soldiers didnt care, he could never impress them no matter what. after the signing of the white gold treaty, he became disillusioned with the legion and abandoned them to hide out in skyrim, mostly as a soldier for hire. somewhere along the line he became a vampire, at first he searched for a cure but found it as the answer he was looking for. immortality means more time to leave your name in history. with the civil war and the legion increasing activity in skyrim, he was caught and sentenced to death (hence his presence at helgan) where, well, you know the rest. he soon discovered he was dragon born and now must both save the world, and choose a side in the new war.
favored side in the civil war: someone tell me what he should side with, in your expert opinion
if a part of this doesn't make sense, feel free to tell me.

Not sure which side to pick sorry.

Why would you switch from Xbox to PS3? I have advice for you, after every skirmish. Indoors and outdoors, loot the entire body and then store it in the body. Sometime the weapons won't clear up, pick those up too.

such a long story for switching, as for the body clearing, i dont think that will be a problem.

sounds like you should join the stromcloaks. the empire ignored you before and tried to kill you now. Run them over at ulfric's side they WILL remember you then!

then theres the problem of them not really seeming like they could stay together long term, where the empire will remember his name for probably a couple extra hundred years.

Hmm, then he will have to take orders from Ulfric. Someone who is superior than you.

From yourback story I would say your vodahmin zoor would join Stormcolaks in this war, seems he lost faith with the Legion. Just saying if you can play skyrim on your computer you can get alot more from it then xbox or ps3

Yes. I try to do that to all the bodies I come across. I store them all into a dead bandit or animal when I'm nearing my carry weight.

Helps the game alot. Also, try not to drop stuff into the world.

Even pulling stuff out that was in their inventory and putting it right back, like gems and miscellaneous items they might have had on them?

I do, I clear their body out and store it all back in. It became a habit.

Heres the simple fact. The Empire and the Stormcloaks are nearly exactly alike. Both are fighting for "whats best for Skyrim". The Empire thinks they are whats best for Skyrim and the Stormcloaks would only casue more problems. The Stormcloaks on the other hand think the Empire is too weak to rule Skyrim so they should rule. Fact is they are both wrong to a degree. You pick which side you think is best for your current character. As much as i hate to say it he sounds like a perfect Stormcloak dog candidate.

I don't understand the argument against Imperialists when considering the whole "officer" dilemma. Corruption happens; that doesn't mean everyone in the government is to blame.

In my opinion, a rebellion is only worth starting when there are absolutely no available options left. Take the American Revolution, for example. The leaders of the rebellion made several attempts to make peace with their King. The King, however, refused. Can we see this happening in the Empire? Does the government actually say, "No."? What I've found is a repentant Emperor, a bitter military governor, and a distrusting elder council member that may or may not support the treaty. While I do agree the Concordat was wrong, it is now in place and does have supporters. However, there is still a reasonable amount of objection to the treaty, something that I feel be worth supporting.

Notwithstanding, I wouldn't mind a temporary recess for Skyrim's political holdings with the Empire in order to protect the oppressed civilians, but rebelling without completely expressed disapproval or a formal writ of secession seems puerile and rather brash. That's why I don't join the Stormcloaks. Otherwise, who knows? Maybe I'd wear the Silver and Blue.

I wish you luck with the frame rate man, Thats all you've got coming to you over here on the PS3 side of Skyrim. Choppy frame rate. I hope giving up the smooth Xbox gameplay was worth it. Wait until the Legendary edition drops to get Skyrim for the PS3.

To be fair, 1.9 has helped my framerate a ton. Maybe because I am on a new character...

I have another character, 18MB savefile and 300 hours. After around 2-3 hours, the framerate drops.

I can't stand the frame drops at all. It bugs me to such a large extent and no matter what i do it persists... across all saves both new and old. even with no Dawnguard. I long to get a PC so i can do away with these frame rate issues. I can live with quest/animation/geographical glitches.. but when the gameplay isn't smooth it drives me up the wall.

if it freezes up after 300 hours, i don't think i will have any problems. iv never had a character last that long.
