The Society of Guilds.
Idea: Well let's start off with the fact, the mod could begin with only one guild. The guild would be either for Thieves, Warriors, or Mages. Considering I am more leaning towards mages, let's go with that.
The members of the guild, asides from yourself as the player, would be unique NPCs each with their one magic and individual personalities, all who can become followers, sort of.
These guilds would offer 3 things. Work for money. Increase your skills. and well, to get a possible good storyline. Like the show, the idea would be, a board with notes posted on them. Each note is a job request with different rewards. In order to accept the job, you must take the note from the board and give it to the "job manager" who then gives the official ok. From there you complete the job, acquire the reward, and return to choose another job.
The would be four levels of jobs which would be labeled as:
A - Apprentice
J - Journeyman
M - Master
L - Legendary
A-rank missions are the lowest payed jobs and the least difficult. L-ranked missions are the most difficult jobs, pay the best, and most time consuming. J-ranked jobs are more difficult then A-ranks, however, M-rank jobs are more difficult then J-rank but easier the L-rank.
Then of course there would be the dubbed MQ which stands for the main Quest of that guild. [Each day] you may or may not choose a job, however, the jobs available may appear as different ones with different pay, or disappear [to imitate the idea of other members taking on the jobs] Also the idea of chance encounter with fellow members while embarking on one of your missions or during your free time?
Although honestly, i am curious if it is possible to create a constant [computer generated] source of quests that appear and disappear based of random variables. Such as [a never ending source of small simple quests: kill this bandit, kill these creatures, gather these resources]. And then the more difficult quests, longer ones, would require the modder to personally create.
[ If any of this is possible an extended idea would be: using mage type guilds as an example, there would be multiple guilds all vying for grand title of being the most powerful and most esteemed, while the College of Winterhold would act as a Council/police type authority over the individual guilds. There could possibly be non-registered "Dark guilds?" Or things similar to that, [those guilds would be law-breaking at most, dealing with murder, and other things].
Just food for thought. Opinions? And perhaps answers to the possibility to my idea even being able to work in skyrim?
