Yes, I'm 11 years late to the modding party. Shame on me. Yes, I am new to this. I didn't want to waste people's time, so I spent a lot of time familiarizing myself with the numerous guides to modding on the interwebz. Feel free to direct me to them, but I don't think we'll be breaking any ground there.

I'm using Windows 7, Wyre Mash .84, TESTool, and GOTY in various combinations. Vanilla Morrowind with Tribunal and Bloodmoon runs like a champ if run as administrator. I have also installed Morrowind Code Patch, which runs fine. I can't get any other mod to work. I'm trying to start small; better bodies, delayed db attack, morrowind patch project, etc.

I have spent most of my time trying to make better bodies run since it is both simple to install and obvious when it works, so I will focus on what I tried and what didn't work there. I started with a direct installation using the executable file on my \Morrowind\Data Files folder. Everything appeared to be in the correct place. I started Morrowind, clicked data files, activated better bodies. It didn't work. Then I tried installing to desktop and copying the files to the proper locations. They were already there. I overwrote them anyway. It didn't work. I tried cleaning with TESTool. It was already clean. I tried applying it to saves via Wyre Mash to no avail, even with all blue checkboxes in the master list and a purple (pink) checkbox next to the save. I looked into UAC, but I'm running as adminstrator, so that's not going to be it. The list is sure to go on, but I can't remember everything I've tried at this point. I've been at this for a long time.

My warnings.txt generated the following when trying to get better bodies to run:

Required plugin / master file 'Better Bodies.esp' not found or not currently loaded.
Texture "Textures\Tx_BC_rockyscrub.tga" count 3.
Texture "Textures\_land_default.tga" count 3.
Texture "Textures\menu_thick_border_bottom_right_corner.dds" count 2.

It also said this when I tried to get Morrowind Code Patch:

Missing Masterfile: Clean Morrowind Patch 1.6.5 Beta (BTB Edit).esm
Texture "Textures\Tx_BC_moss.tga" count 3.
Texture "Textures\_land_default.tga" count 3.
Texture "Textures\menu_thick_border_bottom_right_corner.dds" count 2.

I'm not particularly worried about the textures. Let me know if I should be.

From the above,I think I have diagnosed 2 problems.

• Morrowind does not recognize the file "Better Bodies.esp," despite its presence in the proper \Morrowind\Data Files directory
  
• I cannot find the "cleaned" versions of the .esp and .esm files created by TESTool. They certainly don't wind up in the \Morrowind\Data Files directory. In fact, a ctrl+f search of \Morrowind produced no results.

After clicking what seems like every link on Google, I have found neither a solution, nor even a relevant thread. HALP?
