Oasis Quandary (spoilers possible?)

Post » Sun May 05, 2013 5:03 am

I just found Oasis. I'm tempted to enter but. I don't know what to do. I don't like having to drink the tree sap.. isn't that sap something that harold......how shall we say.. ejected? I'm not drinking that stuff.
it may be trees but it's not natural. It happened because of harolds mutation. It's not normal flora. I don't know what to do.

Option 1: Kill everyone and burn harold
Option 2: Enter, steal the key to the grove (if there's one) and talk to harold
Option 3: Turn back and never return.

What have you done in Oasis?

It's not Harold's fault that this predicament happened, but he's mutated, unnatural. The impurity must be purged. o.o (well my char 'is' very evil so)

Just go in and do the quest for crying out loud. You're agonizing over hearsay that isn't even accurate. Go in and find out for yourself.

I guess the idea is that they have become so intertwined with each other that they need one another in order to survive....... i think

I keep Harold alive and give him the sap that makes the trees grow quicker.... Why you may ask? Unlike you I want my wasteland to have trees.... Even if they are some unlucky dudes byproduct....

Then your character isn't evil, because death is what Harold wants.

An evil character would laugh at him and leave him to suffer.

The sap to drink is harmless, it was brewed and probably boiled by the religious nuts.
No FEV in it.

Harold was never a Ghoul, he was a vault dweller who was splashed with FEV in Mariposa Military Base, but not enough to go centaur or Super Mutant.

The Barkskin perk from killing Harold by destroying his heart though is an FEV infection which over time would make the Wanderer just like Harold.

It would be interesting if that was canonized. I'd like to go back to "Fallout 5: D.C. Rises"... and see how far out the plant life/ Harold spread.

Ha ha!! True.

Wow, I've never thought about that. Bummer.
