What was your Favorite moment of all time in the fallout ser

Post » Sun May 05, 2013 5:04 am

First time I walked out of Vault 101 in F3.
The way they programmed your eyes adjusting to the bright light.... then not being exposed to a completely open map with no real direction. Just... find Dad... maybe... if you want.

Laying down 150 mines outside the behemoth cage in fo3. When it stepped on it... oh boy, boomshockalocka! this or hearing liam neeson call me son. I have a boring life, I know.. doing the dirty with a ghoul hoker in fnv is a close third haha.

Being grossed out by all the gore when I first played FO3, and then laughing maniacally as I blew off heads and limbs a day later .

Finding the skeletal remains of Frederick Sinclair.

A tragic end...

That was a really good one that often gets overlooked. All of the characters on Dead Money are tragic really. But none compare to Sinclair.

Walking out of Vault 101 in FO3. That moment your eyes adjust to the sun and you look out for the first time and you know, "It's on now!"

These.

I feel like I'll forever be chasing the feeling I had playing F3, but I'll never find or capture it again. Pure magic.

I really liked Lonesome Road. It came the closest. Like a harsher, dirtier, uglier version of F3.

Finishing Fallout 1 for the first time, it felt like I actually accomplished something in a videogame.

That would be cool to see. They don't actually have animations where they pick up his body parts to remove the armor do they? Or do they just walk up to the BoS guy and his armor magically vanishes?

Seems to be a trend but leaving Vault 101 was pretty wild for me. Not having much of a clue as to where to go or what to do was amazing and seeing everything destroyed was chilling. Loved it and it's still my favorite game.

The ending slides of Dead Money.
Those truly, and I [censored] you not, gave me shivers when I first heard Elijah wrapping everything up. I got a feeling like a little child on christmas morning.
IDK, something about it just made me love the Fallout series( and NV) far more than ever before.

Sacrificing myself in Fallout 3, it was a show of pure selflessness. Not many stories end with the Protagonist (or antagonist depending in your karma) it was a really beautiful thing during the ending slides.

this line comes to mind. "I am the bringer of death. Fall to your knees and beg for mercy... Or give me a sandwich, I'm pretty hungry."

Well, where to start:

Stepping out of Doc Mitchell's house for the first time... The sun was so blinding and I felt the heat of the Mojave on my skin. (not really, but I imagined it)

Killing Benny for the first time! Now that was damn satisfying.

Completing Dead Money... oh was I happy when I finally could leave! LOL

I think my ultimate happy moment was when I finally met Ulysses AND convinced him to fight by my side.

Trying to think of any favorite moments during my only Fallout 3 playthrough... all I remember was that everything seemed rather depressing. Raven Rock was cool and seeing the sites around the Mall.

Oh I forgot some moments:

Fallout 1:
Entering Shady Sands, the birthplace of the NCR.
Entering the Boneyard and the Follower's University

Fallout 2:
Meeting the talking Deathclaws and even getting one as a companion!

I had the opposite reaction (mine was a "WTF is this" of the purest form).

I thought (and think) the talking deathclaws were one of the gravest mistakes in the whole game (not necessarily badly written, but very very unfitting).

I have many favorites. One of them is the first time I met the Super Mutant Lou, he was such a breath of fresh air compared to the other SM's you meet before. Also the first time I met Harold by accident. Harold is such a key npc in terms of the Master's backstory. But he could be easily missed if you don't know where he is.
