Sorry about these kinds of topics ive been spamming, but i just beat fallout 3, and i know it may be unlikely we will ever hear of lyons brotherhood again, but can anyone speculate on what happened to them? did they fall apart or tare they going strong. and what had happend to the lone wanderer?

I got told the brotherhood still exists, and the lone wanderer has stayed in the captial wasteland, but i wanted to see what you all think. And i promise this'll be the last topic of this type i make.

for me my lone wander just got a job and moved to New Vegas, unwillingly of course. as for the BOS i don't know, I'd imagine they are fine

I think it is likely we will hear of Lyons and his guys again simply because it would make sense to have zero mention of them again.

Given that Fallout 3 only had one real ending and that is help Lyons destroy the Enclave and get project purity working... Lyons and his people have project purity up and running, and are working on getting rid of the super mutants.

In time I think he they will head back to the west. Given that Lyons still feels he is still apart of the orginal BoS.

As for the LW. He became a member of the BoS or moved on to somewhere else. Hopefully never to be heard from again.

Lyon's BoS will likely stay in the CW. It'll probably found a government like NCR, until something happens to it to cause it to collapse.

The LW will likely end up being a Star Paladin or another Elder, should Lyon's BoS fully split from the ones back west.

I don't see Lyon's starting a government, he doesn't seem like he wants to rule himself, or have the BoS rule over the people.

His only real goal is helping people as a means to essentially bribe them to join the BoS because he knows the close-minded and isolationist practises of the west coat BoS only lead to ruin.

I'm talking about long-term. After Lyons dies. And it's not that he's saving the BoS by allowing people to join; he admits that he "went native" if you ask about his mission. He admits that he's saving people because that's what he feels the goal of the BoS should be; what's the point of saving humanity's progress without humans around to use it?

If you chose to destroy the citadel like I did my first full playthrough of the game of the year version, Lyon's brotherhood only consists of scattered remnants. Thus leaving the outcasts with the upper hand between the two. The outcasts at that point may well choose to hunt down and wipe out any survivors, or possibly allow at least some of the remnants to join them. They may also try to hunt down the Lone Wanderer, either for killing their former brethren, or simply to eliminate a threat.

Also one must take into account whether or not the Lone wanderer released the modified FEV, which I also did in the same playthrough. That would have dramatic effects for the region long term.

What happens post-game all depends on your decisions near the end. I wonder which ending they will eventually declare canon? Part of me hopes they go for the destroyed citadel, released FEV ending, because it would be interesting to have one of the player characters of the series be declared almost pure evil, and an object of terror and hate for all in the region. The scourge of the capital wasteland, heh heh heh. I really should do another evil playthrough sometime, its been too long.

Still wont Happen, when Elder Lyons dies, his daughter will take his place, and she is very much a daddy's girl, I don't see her trying it either, or her successor.

And while he says he is helping people, and went native, you also need to pay attention to other factors as well, like the open recruitment, and the giving away of the project purity water for free, everything Lyons does, while helping the people, also gives him, and the BoS as a whole, major points with the citizens of the CW, which causes them to want to join the BoS, and thus, save his dieing order by giving them recruit and numbers that they were losing rapidly due to their previously isolationist policies, a point that is brought up in New Vegas by Veronica.

Hell, Lyons is the male version of is Veronica from New Vegas, she wants the BoS to use their tech to help people also, but the main reason behind that is that in the BoS helping people, people help the BoS not die. He's not just some ultra white-knight who does what he does just because it helps people, he does it because in helping people, he gets them to help him.

It's a mutually beneficial relationship.

Generally, the ending is left vague. While Lyons' Brotherhood recovered a lot of technology, they weren't in the best shape at the outset of the conflict. It can go either way. Personally, I don't see them making it. Lyons is a poor leader, a terrible strategist, and demons of the Brotherhood's past overwhelm him.
