CONSTANT FREEZING AND LOCKING UP BRAND NEW NEW VEGAS DISC AN

Post » Sun May 05, 2013 10:37 am

A big fan of Fallout 3 and the addons. I bought a brand new PS3 and also picked up a brand new copy of New Vegas a while back and have been playing for not too long. Now every time I play the game it starts freezing, lagging incredibly slow and locking up EVERY TIME I PLAY THE GAME. Sometimes it takes only a few seconds for this to happen, sometimes it takes an hour or so, and it does not matter where on the map I am. This is a complete joke and I am super p***** off, and I realize apparently there will no longer be any sort of patches to correct this? What a waste of money on this amazing game you guys running the company are complete fools and jokers, this should be corrected immediately as this is happening globally. Completely foolish this is, and highly dissapointing as Fallout 3 and New Vegas are great games and a great storyline one of the best ever. I guess New Vegas is better off being a coaster for my depression drinks am I right? Also I am aware of the deleting and reinstalling of game data but this still does not work. I had to do that for Fallout 3 on my older PS3 which sort of worked at the time. What is bizarre is that I did not start having freezing and locking up issues with Fallout 3 until I finally almost finished my final add on, several years in the making from starting the game. For several years it worked no problem.

Bethesda add-ons tend to break games on PS3 because they are inept at coding for them. This is nothing new.

See what happened when 4J did a proper port for Oblivion, with optimization, then what happened when Bethesda ported the DLC's to them as it had several major bugs and were never fixed.

Honestly, the information was out there for you to read for a looooooong time that FONV is a terrible game on the PS3 when you start throwing in add-ons, and the GOTY edition is better off being a coaster, so that's on you for not figuring out stuff before you bought it. Doesn't excuse Bethesda from making a shoddy product, but you should have known better as a consumer. Return it within the 30 days or whatever to get a full refund.
