So working on a few of my mods lists I nocited there are a lot of additions or newer versions of the mods which fall under the "Better" title i.e Better Clothes, Better heads, Better Bodies.

Spread across various mod lists I have managec to pull them all togther here. What surpirses me the mods is that so many additions exist (espically for the "Better Clothes" line and no one has yet to put them all together into a "Super Mod" for all of us to enjoy (some one please do this )

Any way, the mods presented here are, as far as I know, all that exist in this "area" but please if you know of any more please feel free to make me aware so I can add to the list!

Note: All mods here (mostly the clothes) are based off the need for Better Bodies. What is not included are new armor/clothing mods but essentially replacers.

UPDATE:Intrestingly there have been many texture replacers for the Better body mesh but recently I was made aware of an actual upgrade to the better body mesh that fixes some uv mapping, improves the hands and gets rid of a clipping issuie with boots.

The Mods must be installed in the order they are listed to avoid complications/errors/conflicts.

you know...I have looked at this esp trying to figure out what was wrong with it after papilon made a comment about an unspecified glitch, and I honestly see no way it could cause a clipping issue as it changes none of the meshes, the thing is an esp only patch.

I think it has something to do with the shoe slots changing. No idea exactly what's going on, though. I've tried it, and the feet clip right through the shoes.

That to me sounds more like a poor implementation of the new mesh than the patch's fault, as the patch do indeed correct the error it claims to.

It only happens when the patch is used, though, so it's definitely something to do with that.

hmm it needs investigating then. It could be that the slots it fixes we left out by the BC team because of that very issuie?

no idea about darknuts armors - as they are not better body.

But that link is amazing! the work there is awesome = BB armor yay. How far along are they?

So is this list for mods that just have "better" in the title or can texture/mesh replacers that are very faithful to the originals fit in? Because I can think of many that would fit in that regard.

Work is constantly in progress. At the moment, the state of development can be traced back to the topic on the forum. There also is and screenshots. Better Morrowind Armor already in usable state. You only need to edit the name of the armor in the esp (they are in Russian). But I think we should wait for the author to make the "official release" first before we put it in this list.

I looked into this. The reason Morrowind gives an error with the original Better Clothes is that both shoes are part of a mesh "Tri Left Foot", while the clothing slots are set up for both feet like every normal Bethesda mesh. It's important to occupy both foot slots because it turns off the rendering of feet.

The (probably) correct patch for this is making a dummy mesh named Tri Right Foot, assign it to a new body part and use that in a new patch ESP. Or, you could ignore the warning as harmless. The current Better Clothes patch is not recommend.

One caution about the version of Better Bodies linked to in the OP: if you use any of the high res body textures for Better Bodies, e.g Westly's Fit Body Textures or his High Resolution Female Textures, you will get a noticeable color discontinuity with the nvde female body from what the unofficial Better Bodies 2.4 documentation refers to as "feminine detailing". What this means is a nicely executed female crotch texture, much more detailed than the vanilla BB version. There is also supposed to be better UV mapping on the mesh to support this added texture.

The documentation suggests that if you wish to use high resolution body textures with the unofficial 2.4 version you can remove the offending, pun intended, texture discrepancy by removing "bb_decalf_xx.dds", otherwise known as the crotch texture.

The problem is that if you do remove the crotch texture, you will get a consistent TES stream warning of a missing texture, and not a "soft" warning, like with better clothes, but a pop up error that will effectively alt-tab you out of the game, leaving you to reload from your last save.

Not fun. Not fun at all.

So you can either rationalize the discrepancy as a tan line, or use the original Better Bodies 2.2 and Liz Tail's fix for the claw hands with the body texture of your choice, with no tan lines whatsoever.

Thank for the MMH link, Spirithawke! I searched for Better Bodies there, but so many results came up, I couldn't find the original mod.

Additionally, thanks to Fliggerty, Jac, Elaura and yourself for MMH. It's simply the best site for Morrowind mods. Blessings of Sheogorath, or your preferred daedra, for hosting so many mods that would otherwise have vanished.
