Hi thekarithian,
I am following your amazing project for some time and just wanted to ask if you are still planning on going back to Oblivion? I think with the current progress in the modding community (64 cell bug solved etc.) maybe you are cosidering to give Skyrim another chance?

Its about time I posted an update here.

Two new videos added and showing the progress of Mesogea in Oblivion. Skyrim proved to be a lame duck quite incapable of being modded to any epic level. Oblivion on the other hand can easily incorporate a lot of things that Skyrim has. So to Mesogea in Oblivion.......

Better to watch the videos. I have been working on a number of quests, adding in voices and new meshes, animations, creatures and so forth.

Also, new modular cliffs and mountain pieces to give Mesogea something of a Skyrimesque quality:

Another update. I am going to release the mod in Feb 2013 in its current state. It has a number of quests, numerous locations etc including templated locations so that modders can build their own stuff and lay claim, with templates ready set out as to what kind of meshes are used. I have re-jigged every custom mesh to fit under Mesogea in the statics list so that the hundreds upon hundreds of meshes can be found much more easily.

Anyway the following is a spoiler for one of the main quests and is a tribute to the some of the voice actors. It also gives a flavour of the mod. It is very different from Tamriel.

No, the end of my involvement for the 2013 release will be when I release it. I will then continue to work on the next part of it and as people do other work (if anyone is prepared to help) then I will arrange for it to be merged with my work so the next 2013 release will be even further forward. This is how the mod has progressed all along. It is far too big for me to do alone, but there had to be a lot of work done by me to get it to the stage where others can throw their efforts into it too, that means as many meshes and changes etc done and merged, and enough locations, NPC's etc to give a template for others to follow.

So absolutely not the end of my involvement. I did about four hours work on it today. That wont change throughout the rest of the year and beyond. This is a long term project for me and it doesnt finish in Feb 2013 by a long shot.

Any help would be very much appreciated. I have always said to people, do what you can, when you can, and I will be thankful for it. I am just adding the voices for another three quests today, done by other voice actors. It's a big project.

I'm glad you're not abandoning your large scale (new, large worldspace) mod, like so many other modders do. I've only began modding Oblivion in the last couple of months, and since I'm also on my last year of college, I'll need quite some time to grasp what I wanted with modding.

I wish you all the best with this project, and perhaps in a (hopefully) year I might even assist you with this; one can never know.

Are there any females who can do voice acting? I have tried over at TES voice actors forum, but no joy on the female side at present.

There are a number of mods amalgamated into Mesogea as it is a Total Conversion with no in game links to Oblivions world. There is nothing to stop anyone porting a character across from the Oblivion game world, though some quests will contain responses to Mesogea races. In the following you'll see my own custom cliffs and mountain slabs as well as TesNexus mods such as Greek Armour, Armour of Mythology, Mr Siikas birds and so on and so forth. There is a long read me with all the relevant credits given. As you can see, although in many cases modders were not working specifically on Mesogea, by giving permission etc a lot of people have contributed to what you see. The most recent addition are the fish by Sjors boomschors who provided permission for salt and freshwater fish that have now turned the rivers into a place as alive as the surface world. My thanks to all of those modders granting permission in Read Me's or when contacted.
