Hi,
I played vanilla Skyrim when it was first released but haven't done any of the DLC or mods yet.
As with most Bethesda games (like Fallout 3), it becomes an entirely new and improved experience to redo the game once all the DLC/mods have been finalized/matured. I think it's save to assume that point has been (mostly) reached.
I'm therefore planning on starting a new playthrough and am looking for people's experience on how the game has progressed since vanilla release.
1) What are some of the big/important changes that I should be aware of?
2) Also I'd love some mod recommendations that'll make the new experience even better.
3) The RPG(/skills) mechanics always seemed a bit lacking to me in TES games. I've heard about the "Skyrim Redone" mod, is that the best option or are there any others? Which one do you like most?
4) What about compatibility issues? I've modded fallout 3 a lot and even with a full week worth of investment before playing with an optimized load order, it was still fairly unstable (though fallout 3 was inherently more buggy than Skyrim I guess). How many of the big mods can I realistically run at the same time?
Are there any lists out there that show which mod compilations are well compatible with eachother?
I'd love to hear how you think the game has progressed with patches, dlc and mods compared to vanilla.
Thanks.
