Who Takes Suggestions?

Post » Sun May 05, 2013 7:09 am

Since I am not a "member" of the modding community and have mostly played on Xbox rather than PC I am not sure where this goes? I am considering switching fully to PC for my continued Skyrim experience. The only problem is that although there are many great mods out there, the particular ones that would get me to switch don't exist (and I have searched quite a lot). So who can I make mod suggestions to?

Well as you can tell by my name I like Daedra. I wanted a Daedric Armor mod that was the set from Oblivion, not a replacer or reskin but a whole new, and perfectly made set (idk if that is a lot to ask).

I also like the Oblivion Legion Armor and I thought it would be cool if all the Legionnaires in Skyrim had the armor instead of their light and heavy sets. Tullius could even have the Imperial Dragon Armor. (Once again idk if that is a lot to ask)

Hmm and lastly I guess would be the addition of all the Daedra as summons. So Scamp, daedroth, spider daedra, Dremora ranks, xivilia, and clannfear

I am not sure how much work those are but those mods would switch me from console to PC

Not exactly the same but similar: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16130/?tab=3&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fmodimages%2F%3Fid%3D16130%26user%3D1&pUp=1 including Tulius.

For Daedric armor, http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/17664/?tab=3&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fmodimages%2F%3Fid%3D17664%26user%3D1&pUp=1 kind of looks like Oblivion, but with the helmet it looks more Morrowind. Personally, it looks like a hybrid of both.

I cannot find anything for Daedra summons, not sure if anyone has made models for those guys since they were not in vanilla Skyrim.

Hope that is what you are looking for :)

Unfortunately no.
The Daedric is actually fully MW-styled. There are no Oblivion-style Daedric influences. It is all black with MW's designs. And the Imperial stuff isn't quite close enough.

This is what I was saying though, there just doesn't seem to be these mods in existence. I DID see a mod for a perfect set of Imperial Dragon armor what if tweaked would result in the correct colors for the regular soldiers but that is about it

I've seen people convert armors directly from Oblivion into Skyrim, but we're not allowed to link to those in here because it's redistributing assets from another game without requiring people to own both. There's also a mod called Skyrim Monster Mod that includes new versions of all the daedra you mentioned, but the author was banned due to using other games' and mods' assests without the authors' permission. So again, I can't help you out with a link. Just do a big of digging on Google and you should be able to find what I'm describing. I can't say that I endorse the usage of such mods, but if you want Oblivion in Skyrim, that's the best you're going to get.

I'm digging and I am finding: People who think re-coloring counts, the Lord mod that was linked, and light sets. But no new assets

Also I am finding plenty of Morrowind armors in Skyrim style mods. But no Oblivion armors

Probably because Morrowind&Skyrim > Oblivion. :D

Although it is generally said that if you want something specifically, you should attempt to make it yourself. Very VERY few modders take suggestions in any form because they are making things they want themselvses. And then through the spirit of the community they are nice enough to share their creations.

But I don't know how to mod things. People don't tend to explain it, and tutorials tend to include assets that the modder considers "common knowledge" but anyone who has never modded anything has no clue about
