I apologize for my absence...

I've been spending an excessive amount of time over on the Elder Scrolls Online forums, and a little too much time playing Lord of the Rings Online and have neglected to update the list. I'm back now and will settle down later on today to get things updated both on the wiki and here.

Now that the Navmesh issue has finally been corrected, or so I read, I will soon begin work on my own projects, and will be revisiting many of the tutorials that are already available.

Take care...

Indeed, not your invention. This has been the method since at least Oblivion.

It is my invention. I just wasn't the first to invent it.

Did you really just have to create a post to say that?

We're discussing what types of tutorials I'll be making in the future, http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1384135-what-kind-of-tutorials-do-you-guys-want/, and dialogue appears to be a common request. So it's very likely that I'll be doing one fairly soon.

Thanks for this thread!

Shouldn't we be able to watch tutorials without being forced to register, is there any reason the many (all?) of the videos are forcing us to open youtube accounts just to view?

It has to do with ESRB compliance. Because Skyrim is rated mature, they are required to designate any official video releases as mature as well, and YouTube requires registration to view mature-rated videos.

The good news is that many of the community-authored tutorials rehash what is in the official ones and as far as I know can be viewed without registration. So do not be afraid of watching those just because they are not "official". Many of them go further in-depth on things than the official ones do.

Another thread you should probably keep an eye on is the regularly updated bug list thread. If you run into problems getting things to work, it may not be something you are doing wrong. That thread lists work-arounds where available.

Happy Modding...

I'll be making my next update pass on monday guys. So over the weekend, if anyone knows of any tutorials that are not listed in the first thread, please post links to them so I can make sure they are added.

Take care...

There's a huge series of tutorial videos by Nightasy which focus on armour modelling from scratch and then all the steps needed to get it in the game (texturing, weight painting/skinning, NifSkope, etc).

I have just finished watching them and am in the process of putting it all into practice. Definitely worth the watch

Started a creation kit video tutorial series. I'm going to try and keep the professional and try and span from basic to advanced in numerous videos. Thats just the very first video.

A lot of the links in the first post lead to a 404. Have those videos been deleted? If they are gone, perhaps the list should be cleaned up.

He has www. in front of all the Youtube abbreviated ones, which cause them the fail. For example my LOD one fails, but it's still up, and still the same link, just no www. abbreviation. Perhaps Youtube recently changed this, meaning he'll need to fix all those links.

Haven't seen or pvssyd to GBJackson in quite a while. Not sure if he'll be back any time soon. Might be a good idea if somebody else took this thread on? We're nearly at the post limit anyhow

Every single link I have tried in the OP is broken with a 404 error. Could someone advise? Polite suggestions only, please!
