Really? Ending potential wasted

Post » Sun May 05, 2013 10:52 am

Couldnt ask Miraak to Marry my character. HELLO? We couldve ruled the world together.
Couldnt even join him.
Couldnt even ask to join him.
Couldnt even TALK to him so...

No way to ask him things I wanted like, who he really was. How he became a dragonpriest. What he plans to do with his power. How it was that he came to live that long. Thats only the tip of the iceberg. But... not even the chance to TALK with him AT ALL?

Talk about having a tonn of potential and flushing it down the toilet. Major disappointment :/

Miraak doesn't strike me as the type to share power.

He wanted you dead in order to continue what he did before Mora trapped him. Why on earth would he want to talk or possibly marry you?

I could only imagine what he would want to do with those tentacles...if you were married to him. :cryvaultboy:

He should have had more dialogue, however joining him/marrying him is stupid.

The marrying part was mostly a joke. But talking to him was not. Really disappointing. There should atleast have been an option to ask to join him. I feel roleplaying evil characters always gets the short end.

I agree with Miraak, and would use my powers to conquer skyrim if I could. Have them build statues of me and worship me, and maybe have my own eliteguard and faithful priests/servants following me around.

Yes, that's kind of shortsighted. In previous TES games and their expansions you could always speak with the main antagonist. You weren't offered a chance to join, but at least they kind of explained what they wanted and why it involved killing you.

Miraak, however, could be a viable exemption, since his main priority is your soul. Why would he offer a "fuel cell" a chance to join or even explain anything to it? He simply states his intentions and then proceeds to implement them.

You're his rival and Mora's new favorite. Sharing power probably never crossed his mind, he would've probably laughed at being asked for double teaming especially for marriage.

since his goal was chomping down on your dragon soul, aiding him would basically be suicide. I do wish he had more information about him, and more dialog detailing what he was going to do when he escaped mora's realm

I would have enjoyed using Bend Will to brainwash him into permanently becoming my thrall. Completely dishonor him. Strip him not just of his freedom, but his very will, leaving only enough to force him to serve me effectively. And once finished with him, feed him to Odahviing.

Imagine a marriage with Miraak. the wedding would probably be in Apocrypha with seekers serving drinks and Mora as the wedding priest.

Just remember, the next time you go to a wedding, explain that you're crying because you're so happy. Not because you're picturing the bridesmaids getting Cthulufied. :P

Good lord that is ridiculous. I was seriously considering a vampire playthrough just to see what the total evil side would be like.

No... Harkon is what is ridiculous. The court of Vampires still do "evil" radiant/side quests and are still vampires to the core. However, Harkon is a common enemy to all because he's an idiot.

That one line uttered by Miraak: "Mora is laughing at us, you know." gave me pause, and certainly seems to suggest a truce or alliance of some kind. Maybe more content that got the chop?

Nah.. he's just affirming that Mora is ultimately pulling most of the strings.
