[Req] Mannequins

Just wondering if anyone is planning to port this over from Fallout 3? Always thought it was a very nice addition to display rooms and the sort :)

I'm going to make this a signature so I can just post empty replys but....not doable until NVSE surfaces unfortunately. Personally I've just gathered up all the followers and sent them back to my house. Then they can stand around in your best gear. Even better if you use the http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34955 mod to make them mill around.

Well actually, I'm only saying that because all the old Mannequin mods use FOSE, but I don't see why you could do a non se one. It'd be clunky, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

To be fair its abit beyond my expertise, from what i can gather its a naked NPC thats locked in a frozen animation? Suppose I should DL the one from FO3 and have a peek at the esp/scripts to see if it can be done in someway. Reason im interested is because I wanted to add some to my Lucky 38 mod, as further upgrades but if i remember rightly they can add abit of lag.

There was another thread about this. It's actually pretty easy to get an NPC frozen, but putting them in interesting poses I suppose is a different matter. If you want to try though, "SetActorsAI 0" makes them stop completely (no idle animation at all) and "SetGhost 1" makes other NPCs ignore them. You'll also want to set the NPC to be "not pushable" in the GECK and overwrite the OnActivate block to access their inventory instead of talking to them. I'm not actually making mannequins for my mod, so I don't know if SetActorsAI 0 prevents them from equipping stuff. It probably does, so you'd have to do it manually which will be more difficult without NVSE and actually even that might not work. You'd have to play around with it to see what does.

It can be done without FOSE.

It can be done without FOSE.

I said "more difficult", not "impossible" ;)

What I meant by "even that may not work" is equipping actors who are not running AI. I have no idea how that part works, if you'll have to unfreeze them a second or what.
