Problem adopting?

Okay so I have all three DLC's. I can't adopt a child no matter what I do... I bought the land in Falkreath, built a house with one bedroom, one kitchen, a trophy room, and a cellar. In one bedroom I have one double bed and several containers. I also have a child's size bed and a child's chest. I made sure that they were child size bed and not a single bed. I took out all of the work benches and I am married. I can't adopt from the orphanage because Constance keeps telling me I need room in my house, but I also told her I was an adventurer. I have tried Lucia in whiterun but I keep telling her I have no room... Could my game be glitchy or am I just to silly to see the problem???

You need a fully furnished room for the child. Fully furnished for two children. If you have the bedroom wing, that is two children's beds and two children's chests. If you had not built the bedroom wing, you could have just had the two single beds upstairs and the chest of drawers between the beds. Once you build the bedroom wing, the beds upstairs usually become unusable for the children.

As aussie said, you have to have two children's beds and two chests, even if you only want 1 child.
