Help me, please!

Everytime I go up the stairs at Lost Tongue Overlook to encounter the dragon, it just sits there on top of the wall and does nothing.

My follower and I kill it, but nothing happens, it's like the dragon has just freezed which is really obnoxious because it means I can't finish the quest.

I have no problem obtaining the shout from the wall, but the dragon just won't die or attack, it just sits there, even after it has been killed.

I have updated everything within the hour (today!) and it has not helped... PLEASE, what do I do??

To expand on that, try reloading an earlier save maybe before you approach the dragon at first and see if it triggers correctly. If not then try a save from before you took the quest to get that wordwall. It should work as what you have found is something that can happen from time to time.

If you haven't been making regular saves to fall back on, only have autosaves etc then you have learned a harsh lesson I'm afraid.
