Hello, I was wondering, if I use this mod and I choose to start my new life of say, a property owner in Solitude, I get Proudspire Manor. However, do I also get to be Thane in the hold? Or must I still do all the quests required for that to be able to buy upgrades and or new things for it, and get the title of Thane?

What is this "Start a new Life" mod? Have you read the ReadMe and description page from wherever you downloaded it?

I believe they are referring to Live another Life by Arthmoor. I'm sure he could answer that for you, or one of his users if you posted in the mod's comment thread at the Nexus. He also http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1425974-relz-alternate-start-live-another-life-thread-5/ you might ask in as well.

Ah, if it is Live Another Life, then yes, you must still become Thane on your own, the normal way. The Jarl will recognize you've purchased property.
