DSG with Reflex or Takedown?

Post » Mon May 06, 2013 2:29 pm

Which is better? They're both pretty similar when the DSG has a reflex sight. I never really got into the Takedown, but I'm trying both out now for funsies. DSG is probably more accurate but I haven't looked at the stats to compare them yet.

Or maybe the Gauss with a reflex sight is a better combination? Any other wacky combos? Anything but Scar/Scarab with muzzle brake and laser really XD

They are different playstyles, the DSG is a powerful Rifle, its unforgiving, hyper accurate but requires user accuracy, to add you must be stationary while shooting; the Takedown is a DMR, the permits running around at will, but it requires 2 shots to the head, and has incremental recoil and requires the most discipline in the game, yet is one of the most forgiving guns when it comes to ammo.

I wouldn't say i would pick one over the other, they are situational, the DSG is amazing if you have a team backing you up, but performs poorly when out number, due to the fact you cannot move.

The Takedown is a weapon that can wipe out entire squads, so long as you are disciplining yourself.

I suspect you will shortly be showered with wisdom from The_coolguy.

Personally, after last patch I'm loving dsg-r

1 minute too late! It sounds like using the dsg w/ reflex well will be tricky - I'll give it a go again soon. If I can't be as accurate as I need to be I could always switch to the assault scope for a while. Probably not the best gun for Skyline I suppose!
