It has been over a year, time to review.

Okay, so it has been about a year and a half since Skyrim first released. 3 DLCs launched along with the original game. I wanted to make a thread to see what everyone likes and dislike about the game so far. This is just for fun, and maybe will shine some light on the players opinionated pro's and con's on Skyrim.
Some Pros for me:
1. The improvement in how the environment interacts with the game. Basically, i love how everything doesbt just attack me, but everybody can fall victim to attacks by beasts, npcs, etc.
2. Dragons and their shouts. Very exciting and unqiue. The Signature of Skyrim in my opinion.
3. Graphics are better than previous ES games.
4. Skill tree/Perk tree system is a better edition to make a unquie character.

Some Cons:
1. Lack if spell variety. Especially the loss in being able to create your own staves, scrolls, and spells. Really limits a magic based character and less crafting versatility.
2. Lack of monster/enemy variety. Same monsters around every corner for me. Every camp has bandits, or every forest has just bears and packs of wolves.

I could name more, but i want to see what my fellow players think. Share your pro's and con's and feel free to comment on mine. (:

My problems remain, without so much as acknowledgement from Bethesda.

The UI: Still broken

Shadows: Still broken.

Slaughterfish: Still not affected by the Hrothgar blessing that makes animals non-hostile.

Kill Cams: Still forced, still broken.

The kill cam one is the one that has seriously put me off, that has made me upset from the start. Because it routinely activates when you don't actually hit your target and -- and god only knows why -- they wont let you turn it off.

Its the one bug that has actually caused me to die, and has done so many times. Frankly, its insulting. There are several possible ways to resolve this, and bethesda has done less than one: By that I mean, they didnt have it for ranged attacks for like, a year. And then they forced it on us. And then later they released a patch that said it resolved some of the issues... But it kept happening.

And nothing else came. It irritates me to no end.

Whats funny about this is that Skyrim has more base animal/monster types, and more variations of said monster types, then Oblivion did.

Yeah, but monster variety has been a problem for my personal opinion in the past 3 ES games. Maybe its just me, but i want to see new monsters everyday. My greedy butt ;)

The UI and killcams aren't "addressed" by Bethesda because they aren't broken

This. It breaks realism when you can't get drunk, or your own homemade weapons are stronger than the freakin' Daedric Prince's schtuff. As well as the fact that the sickly farmers have no reason to lay down in the Temple of Kynareth if they could just pray to the shrine and have Ataxia gone.

But Skyrim's superior combat, beautiful graphics and Christopher Plummer/Michael Hogan made the game all the better. Skyrim's one of the best games out there, and I really love it.

But some of them are very rare. Wipsmother's for example, you can count the encounters with them with fingers of one hand. The enemies you encounter most of the time are the same: wolves, bears bandits and draugr.

And while there's annoying bear, really annoying bear and [censored] annoying bear, they're all still annoying bears.
