The Conquest of Orgnum Thras

Post » Wed Apr 07, 2010 12:27 pm

It is 3 years after the Oblivion Crisis. The Empire has managed to rebuild its forces, and has never been in better shape. It has better economy and peace then ever before. Life is also good for the settelers, as the crops are good too. It is perfect bliss. But, no one realizes the danger lurking in the distance.

To the far south of Tamerial, an island rests. It is known as Pyandonea, and it is the land of the Maormer, Elves that have magic far beyond the bounds of those in Tamerial. The Maormer train sea serpents to do there bidding, and they rules the south. It is impossible to Navigate there islands to all but the best navigators. But even then the serpents swallow there ships. They were not heard of since 3E 110, where there fleet was whiped out ina freak storm. There king, Orgnum Thras, was an immortal wizard, with a coffer that will make gold out of nothing. He was killed during the storm that destroyed there fleet, but now a young Maormer that is Orgnum Thras's decendent with the same name as Orgnum rises to be the leader, and is ready for war. But the land of the Maormer is planning something. An invasion on Tamerial. Already they have captured multiple crews of ships. Thats were you are.

-----------

You are one of the captured men on the ships. Your mission will be mainly to escape and get back to Tamerial, or follow your own agenda.

Sound OK? If not, what needs changes? Should I even have bothered at all to type this up?

Could work for an RP, but it says in The Wolf Queen vol. 4 that Orgnum Thras was killed by a storm summoned by the Psijic Order. The Maormer lost an entire fleet and their king trying to invade Tamriel once, and the Psijics and probably all of the Altmer are their mortal enemies. You'll have to think of how this works into the situation. But I see potential here, just give it thought.

Indeed, it seems a better idea than past island wrecks RPs. The grammar needs some work, but I won't go into that.

Research as much as you can, any little tidbit can inspire your plot. Speaking of which, make sure you have a concrete plot in mind. You don't have to tell us at the beginning, just make sure we are working towards it. Thanks.

I don't know if I'd have time to join, but I'll see how often I'm sitting doing nothing.
